Working for the H&K Group on the PADOT project ECMS 92921 at the intersection improvements of Routes 73 & 662 in Berks County, Heim Construction crews slipped concrete curb and gutter sections, mountable curbs on the splitter islands, and mountable curb at the roundabout with a truck apron curb.
Following up on the slip formwork, Heim Construction crews poured the cast-in-place filler concrete at the splitter islands and poured the roundabout with a tinted concrete color utilizing the Cemstone Harvest Moon and it looks awesome. friendly, comfortable environment. A design-build collaboration with Heim Construction Company. Heim Construction Co. provided design build services to Dr. Bryan to complete a renovation of the orthodontic office in Hamburg, PA. Interior fit-out included an upgrade to the entrance area, waiting area, a five (5) station orthodontic bay, two (2) treatment rooms, and ADA bathroom facilities.
The slip-form crew has been on the move throughout the 2019 construction season. Recently they performed work on a site with a high degree of difficulty. A challenging site with multiple locations and a final slip on a 40% grade and two radius turn. The Heim slip team mobilized and completed the project in two days. The final 2,000 lineal feet down the grade was the most exciting. Great job guys.
