St. Michael's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church

114 S. Chestnut Street, Shenandoah, PA.
Founded in 1884
St. Michael’s is the first “Greek” rite church in America. Rev John Wolanski- the first Greek Catholic Priest held the first service on October 24, 1884, in Shenandoah, Pa.

The parishioners of St. Michael’s continue the financial support needed for the renovation efforts to keep the magnificent architecture and artistic elements representing the history of the church.

Heim Construction Co. completed the refurbishing of the entrance doorways by removing the doors, weather-protected the openings, transported the doors to our indoor facility, refurbished the doors in a controlled environment, and replaced the doors in 4 days.
