County businesses step up to support local police in war on drugs
On October 23, 2023 Roy Heim gathered with four other local businesses at the Orwigsburg Veterans Community Memorial Hall to announce their contribution in helping to fund the local police departments. With the help of these businesses, they raised $80,000 to donate to the Ashland, Minersville, Orwigsburg, Pottsville and Tamaqua police departments. Illegal drugs are the biggest enforcement problem in Schuylkill County, and with the help of this donation we are able to take a step forward in helping our local communities.
